Welcome to the Portstewart Presbyterian Church website!
As you can see from our mission statement above, we exist for a very specific purpose – and our deisre is that God will help us to become a vibrant community of faith at the centre of Portstewart. The church sits on a hill above the promenade and has a distinctive red roof. Visitors can park their cars in the Convention Carpark nearby and walk to the church in three minutes via a pedestrian access. In that way you can show Christian love to our neighbours by leaving them space to park outside their houses. There is a small carpark at the rear of the church which is available for disabled worshippers.
I hope that you enjoy your visit to our site. People say that we’re a friendly wee church. Why not call and worship Almighty God with us if you’re up at the port!

I’ve been youth and family worker in Portstewart for four years and worked as a volunteer for a year before that. I’m doing a part time degree in Youth and Community work and am one of the organisers of the Music Festival at Forfey near Enniskillen in the summer time. When I’m not working with children and young people I like to cook, rebuild classic cars (I’ve got a Ford Capri) and watch movies. WE have lots going on fro young families here at church. If you want to know more, send me an email at adburke1@hotmail.co.uk
I am the current minister of our church. I was born in Ballycastle County Antrim and went to Queen’s University in 1975. I worked as a youth worker with the YMCA and then as a teacher in Castlereagh College before entering Union College. I worked In west Church Bangor for five and a half years before coming to Portstewart in 2000. I am married to Sandra and have 3 children, Stephen, Mark and Sarah. I enjoy anything to do with music, boats and the great outdoors. I try to attend spin classes 3 times a week, but my main passion is for Jesus. I love nothing more than sitting with the Bible open, chatting with people about what it means to be truly human and learning how to live life as God intended. We do that regularly at Prime Time meetings on Wednesdays. I’d love to see you there.
