About

Sunday Services are at 10:30am and at 7pm

Portstewart is famous for its clean white beach, the rolling waves and the amazing sunsets over the ocean. The glory of God is visible everywhere along the Causeway Coast and around the countryside. Our logo has 4 symbols.  The waves are a reminder of God’s ever flowing love for people like you and me… and His awesome control over every aspect of His Creation. Those waves can come so far – but no further! The Cross is the everlasting symbol at the heart of the Christian Faith. Jesus Christ died on a Roman cross over 2000 years ago, to pay the price for the sins that separate human beings like us from Almighty God. That Cross is the symbol of the love of God, who gave His only son, so that anyone who puts their trust in Him might have Eternal Life [John 3. 16]. That amazing love can be yours if you will humbly respond to the call of Jesus and ask for it!

The red sail is reminiscent of the song ‘Red sails in the sunset’ by Jimmy Kennedy. It also reminds us that without the wind of God’s Spirit in our lives all of us are going nowhere, fast! As we pray for the Fulness of the Holy Spirit, God enables us to move with Him on the Journey of Life, experiencing His supernatural power as we face every challenge with Him. The rainbow is the sign of God’s ancient , yet everlasting promise of a father’s care and protection. In Genesis 9. 11-16, we hear God say: “ Whenever I bring clouds over the earth and the rainbow appears in the clouds, I will remember my covenant between me and you and all living creatures of every kind. Never again will the waters become flood to destroy all life. ”

The love and promises of God are always available to each one of us in Christ. That’s why we have chosen them as key symbols for our church’s logo and for our everyday lives as Christians.

Our church’s mission statement is short and to the point:  Our aim is to proclaim Jesus Christ to all ages… for all Ages… with our lips and with our lives. With God’s help we believe that this aim is achievable. If you would like to join us on the journey, we’d be glad to see you.
